How the system works

A ritual in cadence

Nera³ works in order, on purpose. Each step does a specific job and hands the next one a better strand - nourish deep, strengthen where it's worn, then protect it against the day ahead. That's why the salon shine, depth, and movement are still there three weeks later.

01 Step One
Weightless Conditioning Spray

Nourish

Moisture and nutrients go in where they stay in. The rich ingredients are reserved for the steps that stay in the hair, leave-in conditioner and conditioning spray, not the shampoo where they’d be rinsed away in seconds.

Weightless Conditioning Spray [4 OZ]

Detangling and moisture without weight, as part of your daily routine. Wash days add a boost of nourishment with sulfate-free Moisturizing Shampoo and Nourishing Conditioner.

02 Step Two
Protein Treatment

Strengthen

The workhorse of the ritual, applied after the conditioner so it distributes evenly instead of in patches. Color, heat, and extensions wear the strand down in two different ways - at the surface and deep inside - so it’s built to repair both.

Protein Treatment [4 OZ]

Three proteins working at different depths: keratin inside the fiber, silk across the surface, hemp supporting the structure. A bond-repair complex restores the internal bonds that hold the strand together. Two different repairs, one treatment.

03 Step Three
Finishing Spray

Protect

The finish that holds everything the first two steps put back. Repair only lasts if the day doesn’t undo it - the dryer, the iron, the sun, and everything in between for those living a full but chaotic life.

Finishing Spray [4 OZ]

Styling and volume with heat, UV, and color protection - a shield against the things that dull shine and shift tone between visits. Hair stays soft, touchable, and in motion while it locks in the salon finish.

The formulation

What's in it,
and what it does.

Every ingredient in the set, what the research says about it, and why it sits in the step it does. Read it before you decide - it is the argument for the whole system.

Finishing Spray

Vinylpyrrolidone Terpolymer (cationic film former)
Clinically documented
  • Forms a flexible hold film at low use levels
  • Documented hold retention under high-humidity conditions
  • Cationic charge deposits selectively on damaged, negatively charged fiber sites
Key benefits

The styling backbone of the formula. A cationic film-forming polymer that lays down a flexible film across the fiber, delivering body, lift, and hold that resists humidity without stiffness or flaking - and washes out cleanly on the next cleanse.

Cetrimonium Chloride
Clinically documented
  • Demonstrated significant reduction in static electricity
  • Improves wet and dry combing performance
Key benefits

Adsorbs onto the fiber surface, forming a conditioning film that smooths the cuticle and neutralizes the static charge that causes flyaway. It also carries the formula evenly across the hair as it sprays.

Hydrolyzed Keratin Protein
Clinically documented
  • Up to 40% increase in hair tensile strength in damaged fibers
  • Up to 50% reduction in mechanical breakage during brushing
  • 20–30% improvement in wet combing force
Key benefits

Low-molecular-weight peptides bind to damaged keratin sites within the cuticle and cortex, reinforcing weakened areas of the fiber. In a leave-on step, that reinforcement stays in place through drying, styling, and the rest of the day.

Hydrolyzed Silk Protein
Clinically documented
  • Up to 30% increase in measurable hair shine
  • 15–20% reduction in fiber-to-fiber friction
  • 10–15% improvement in moisture retention
Key benefits

Silk amino acids form a lightweight film across the cuticle surface, smoothing irregularities in the shaft. This improves light reflection and reduces the friction created by styling tools and daily wear.

Hydrolyzed Hemp Protein
Clinically documented
  • Contains approximately 65% edestin protein, structurally compatible with human keratin
  • High levels of sulfur-containing amino acids, important for keratin cross-linking
Key benefits

Plant-derived amino acids that support the natural protein structure of the hair fiber while improving elasticity and resilience.

Hydroxypropylgluconamide (and) Hydroxypropylammonium Gluconate
Clinically documented
  • Up to 28% improvement in fiber strength in chemically damaged hair
  • Up to 40% reduction in breakage after repeated treatments
  • Demonstrated ability to restore internal hydrogen and ionic bonds
Key benefits

A bond-repair complex that penetrates into the cortex and helps rebuild the hydrogen and ionic bonds stabilizing the internal keratin matrix. Delivered in a leave-on base, it keeps working through the day rather than rinsing away.

C18-21 Alkane
Clinically documented
  • Plant-derived, readily biodegradable lightweight emollient
  • Reduces combing friction and increases surface gloss
  • Non-occlusive at use levels - no measurable buildup across repeated applications
Key benefits

A weightless plant-derived alternative to heavier silicone emollients. It contributes slip and gloss across the cuticle and helps the styling film lay down evenly, without the residue or weight that would flatten fine hair or load extension bonds.

Benzophenone-4
Clinically documented
  • Water-soluble UV absorber, active across the UVA/UVB range
  • Documented reduction in photo-fading of artificially colored fibers
  • Documented protection of formula color and fragrance from light degradation
Key benefits

A water-soluble UV filter that absorbs ultraviolet light before it reaches the fiber, helping preserve color tone and limiting the photo-oxidation that weakens the cuticle over time.

Dry Shampoo

Tapioca Starch
Documented
  • High sebum absorption capacity relative to particle weight
  • Translucent on application - a soft-focus finish rather than a chalk layer
  • Fine, silky particle feel
Key benefits

The primary absorbent. It takes up oil at the root where it actually shows, refreshing the style without the flat white cast that heavier powders leave behind.

Maranta Arundinacea Root Extract (Arrowroot)
Documented
  • Very fine particle size with documented absorbency
  • Low visible residue on application
  • Contributes a smooth, silky after-feel
Key benefits

A second botanical absorbent working alongside the tapioca starch, chosen for how completely it disappears into the hair. It refines the texture of the powder so the finish reads as clean hair, not as product.

Moisturizing Shampoo

Our Moisturizing Shampoo doesn't carry any key clinical ingredients. Here's why.

Nera³ Moisturizing Shampoo is designed specifically for effective cleansing and scalp balance. As with every shampoo on the market, it is rinsed out of the hair within seconds. Other brands still put key - and more expensive - ingredients into the shampoo, where it quickly ends up in the drain. We intentionally reserve our clinically supported key ingredients for the strengthening and conditioning steps of the system, where they remain in the hair and can deliver real results.

Notable ingredients · gentle surfactants
  • Based on the renewable resources of corn and coconut

The bottom line

Healthy hair isn't about one product.

It's about balance.

The Nera³ Ritual gives your hair exactly what it needs - when it needs it - so it looks better and lasts longer. Following this system also supports healthier hair follicles and slows thinning.

Damaged hair - lifted cuticleHealthy hair - sealed cuticle

See the difference.

Before: lifted, compromised strands.

After: sealed, supported, and rebuilt structure.

Three proteins working at different depths, plus a bond-repair complex, transform damaged hair into stronger, healthier-looking fiber. This isn't surface shine - it's structural restoration.

How Nera³ is different

Nera³ Most "hair repair" brands
Works as a complete system Hypes one "miracle" product
Places key ingredients in the steps that retain them, protecting nutrients and structure Adds nutrients and protein to shampoo, which then gets rinsed away
Uses protein independently, then seals it in Over-treats hair all at once, leading to stiffness and breakage
Long-term balance, strength, and softness Short-term softness, long-term damage
Built specifically to strengthen and protect compromised hair Not designed or structured for damaged hair
A layered strengthening system creates up to

5× stronger & noticeably fuller hair

01

Deep cortex bond repair

Targets the deepest layer of the strand to rebuild broken bonds and restore structural integrity.

02

Mid-level fiber reinforcement

Strengthens the mid-shaft structure, supporting elasticity and helping fragile strands withstand daily styling stress.

03

Shaft-sealing proteins

Lightweight proteins strengthen the hair shaft, improving texture and manageability and reducing breakage from brushing and styling.

04

Sealing conditioner

Hydrating conditioners seal the cuticle layer, locking in moisture while protecting hair from dryness and environmental stress.

FAQ

Common questions

Information about the products, to help you get the most out of the ritual.

Does hair actually "heal" the way skin does?

No - hair is not living tissue, so once a fiber is damaged it cannot regenerate. The goal of the Nera³ system is to preserve what is healthy, minimize further damage, and keep hair in balance over time.

Why does the systemized routine work especially well for extensions?

Extensions cannot repair themselves - they need gentle cleansing, controlled hydration, and surface protection rather than aggressive treatment. The Nera³ system is formulated to care for natural hair and extensions together.

Do stylists use a different routine than I would at home?

No, it is the same ritual. Stylists just apply it more consistently, especially the Protein Treatment after color or chemical services.

What is the Dry Shampoo for?

A supporting, between-wash step rather than a hero product - and it helps guard against thinning hair.

What makes a system different from a single product?

A single formula cannot clean, hydrate, strengthen, and protect equally well - asking it to do so usually means each job gets done partially. The Nera³ system treats each as a distinct step, timed to work with the hair rather than against it.

Can hair be over-treated?

Yes. Too much protein can leave hair brittle; too much moisture can leave it weak; over-cleansing strips it and under-cleansing causes buildup. The Nera³ system is built around balance, not extremes.

How long does one Signature Set last?

Based on recommended use, one Signature Set is approximately a one-month supply.
